Dental Care
How often should I visit the dentist?+
Most patients should visit the dentist every six months for a checkup and professional cleaning. However, some patients with gum disease or other conditions may need more frequent visits. Dr. Hajiyani will recommend the appropriate schedule for your individual needs.
Are dental X-rays safe?+
Yes, dental X-rays use very low levels of radiation and are considered safe. We use digital X-rays, which reduce radiation exposure by up to 80% compared to traditional film X-rays. We only take X-rays when clinically necessary.
What can I do about sensitive teeth?+
Tooth sensitivity can have several causes, including exposed dentin, receding gums, teeth grinding, or a cracked tooth. Please schedule an appointment so Dr. Hajiyani can identify the cause and recommend the appropriate treatment.
How do I know if I need a root canal?+
Signs you may need a root canal include severe and persistent tooth pain, sensitivity to hot and cold that lingers, swelling or tenderness in nearby gums, and a pimple-like bump on the gums. However, some teeth needing root canals have no symptoms, making regular checkups important.
What is the best way to whiten my teeth?+
Professional teeth whitening at Lucas Elite Dental Studio provides the safest and most effective results. We offer Zoom in-office whitening that can brighten your smile up to 8 shades in a single visit, as well as at-home whitening kits with custom trays.
